As a long time VR veteran, here are 5 things I wish someone told me when I was first getting into Virtual Reality.
everything he mentioned is just so true. The main message should be: If you like it, it will be expensive…
He also mentioned the need for FoV.
PIMAX go for it!
This is a pretty good description of how it goes when you get bitten by VR hard. Which is how it’s been for me.
For reason #1 and #2 in the video, I’ll mention that yes. If you get into it, you’re going to end up buying more things and also doing more to setup your playspace and such. A comment I’d make here is that VR is cheap in terms of bang per buck. Even for more expensive VR gear like the Pimax 8KX or Valve Index, there’s a relatively high initial buy in cost, but after that it’s the gift that keeps on giving. If you work it out in terms of dollars per hour, VR gear even now in its infancy is one of the cheapest forms of entertainment.
All true but wasted on ears here, I would think. Not too many newbs.
At my age wishing what I knew now, when I was younger, is a Rod Stewart song.
